Heads-Up: Domain Name Price Increases from 1 July 2025
Just a quick update for Digimark customers with domain names registered through us. 1stDomains (our preferred domain registrar) has announced a price increase coming into effect on 1 July 2025.
Like many service providers in the tech and internet space, 1stDomains is adjusting prices due to rising costs from global registry operators, exchange rates, and general inflation. This affects a range of domain extensions including .nz, .com, .net and more.
What This Means for You
If we manage your domain name(s), your next renewal (on or after 1 July) will reflect the updated pricing. The increase varies depending on the domain extension, but as an example:
- .nz domains will increase from $31.50 to $37.50/year
- .com domains will increase from $33.50 to $35.50/year
Full pricing details are available on 1stDomains’ price update page and our Domain names services page.
You can Renew Early and Avoid the Increase
If you’d like to avoid the price increase, we can renew your domain early and extend its expiry date by up to 10 years. Just get in touch with us before the end of June and we’ll sort it.
